There’s been no rest for emergency services who attended multiple call-outs around the Darling Downs overnight and into the weekend.

Emergency services were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash in Wilsonton in the early hours on Sunday.

A QAS spokeswoman said paramedics assessed the driver, a man in his 20s, just before 6am.

It is understood the man suffered minor injuries and declined transport to hospital.

Police were also called to the scene at the corner of Bridge and Beryl St, and initially had one lane on Beryl St blocked off, a QPS spokeswoman said.

The QPS spokeswoman said it’s believed the man had crashed into a light pole.

The scene is now cleared and there’s no further impact to traffic on Beryl St.

Fire and rescue crews were called to a business on Bridge St in Wilsonton just after 1pm, after reports of a potential gas leak.

A QFD spokeswoman said initial reports indicated a smell of gas was present and fire crews were investigating the cause.

It is understood fire crews located a small leak behind a stove, the QFD spokeswoman said no one has been evacuated.

Queensland Police and Queensland Fire Department crews were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash in Newtown just after noon on Saturday.

A QFD spokeswoman said the initial reports indicated the vehicle had crashed into a pole near the intersection of Blue Gum Dr and Mahogany St.

However, when the crew arrived on scene the vehicle was nowhere to be found, with bystanders advising the crew the vehicle had since driven off.

The QFD spokeswoman said the crew had located fallen powerlines and were remaining on scene until Ergon arrived.

It is understood the vehicle has taken the corner too wide and driven into a nearby power pole.

A QPS spokeswoman said officers were in the process of locating the driver of the vehicle.

A male aged in his teens was taken to Toowoomba Hospital after an e-scooter crash on Friday night.

It is understood the crash occurred just before 7pm on the corner of MacGregor and Bridge Streets.

Police are also investigating what caused a prime mover to catch fire on rural road in the Darling Downs on Friday evening.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two crews were called to reports of the truck fire on Cecil Plains Moonie Rd just after 8pm.

The QFD spokeswoman said the first crew arrived to find the prime mover fully engulfed in flames, quickly springing into action.

Fire crews managed to put out the blaze at 9.37pm and no one was reported injured.

A QPS spokeswoman said the investigation was ongoing.

A short time later firefighters were called to reports of a small aircraft experiencing landing issues at Toowoomba Airport.

The QFD spokeswoman said the call came in at around 8.30pm and the pilot reported the plane was experiencing an undercarriage issue.

Fortunately, it was able to land safely, and fire and rescue crews remained on standby.

No injuries were reported.

Paramedics were also called to a single-vehicle crash near Westbrook early Saturday in the westbound lane of the Toowoomba Bypass at around 4am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said three stable patients were taken to Toowoomba hospital, including a teen girl with neck, chest and shoulder pain.

A second teen girl also suffered neck pain and a third patient had abdominal and neck pain.
