UPDATE: A MAN who walked into a bank in Toowoomba holding what police called "kung fu-style items" is yet to be charged with anything.
The man, 29, was walking along Herries St into Margaret St shortly before 10am before he made his way to the NAB branch carrying long daggers.
Police officers responded to the incident and spoke with the man who was taken into custody.
Eye witnesses to the incident said the man was "kicking up a bit of a stink".
A police media spokeswoman said the man was taken into custody and officers had removed the knives.
She said possessing the weapons was legal, but inquiries were ongoing.
"No offences have been detected because it's legal to carry the items," the spokeswoman said.
"The man wasn't charged with anything as of yet.
"Inquiries are still ongoing."
YESTERDAY: POLICE have confronted a man carrying two "ninja daggers" in the Toowoomba CBD.
The confrontation took place about 11am at the NAB branch near the intersection of Ruthven and Margaret Sts.
Four police officers surrounded the man, seizing the daggers.
