A new addition to Toowoomba’s trendy street food hub, will bring diners the perfect spot to socialise over a beer and some nibbles, as Walton Stores opens Dumphling.
At the back of the Walton Stores laneway, Dumphling offers a range of dumplings, bao buns, spring rolls, and drinks and has become a hit even before their official opening and according to customers their pork-belly dumplings are a must try.
Owner and qualified chef Clayton Costigan said what was meant to be a soft opening on Wednesday to work out a few kinks, unexpectedly drew crowds of over 40 people.
With the store officially opening on Thursday night Mr Costigan said that with the wild weather heading towards Toowoomba, the already popular eatery might get a few days to catch up from what has already been a busy opening.
Mr Costigan who runs two other restaurants at Walton Stores, Bergen and Uva wine bar, said Dumphling’s lovely open courtyard will be the perfect place for people to socialise with friends, grab a delicious bite to eat.
