After 25 years Christine Keenan’s dream of opening a small business has come to fruition.

Trinity Rose and Friends opened last week and is a creative space where local creators can sell their wares, where skills can be shared through DIY workshops and a space the community can drop in to chat and do craft.

Ms Kennan said she was thrilled to finally have opened the store.

“The original idea came about 25 years ago, when my mum and I made items and sold them at the Wilsonton Markets while I studied,” she said.

“I started the process of finding a suitable location to continue selling my goods but found employment instead.”

She said the dream laid buried until she attended a Dream Board session by Ten Thousand Dreams which reinspired her.

Trinity Rose and Friends is currently stocked with candles, diffusers, sewn items, chopping boards, earrings and other handmade goods.

“There are other stockists coming on board over the next week or so. I am on the lookout for those who create pottery, head wear, crocheted or knitted items, woodwork, art and anything handmade,” Ms Kennan said.

Workshops are also another element of the business where creatives will host DIY sessions where people can learn new skills such as sewing, cardmaking, crocheting, knitting and other craft-related skills.

Trinity Rose and Friends is located at 78 Russell St and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

An opening day will be held on Saturday, June 12 with creators on-site chatting about their business, demos and mini workshops as well as bags of goodies to the first eight people to spend $50 or more.

Interested stockists and workshops hosts can contact Ms Kennan via her Trinity and Rose Facebook page or drop into the store.
