Realtor’s drunken crash caught on CCTV
A Sydney real estate agent who got behind the wheel of his BMW after spending four hours at a brewery has been sentenced over the horrific crash.

A Sydney real estate agent who seriously injured three people when he drunkenly crashed his BMW into another car told police he had consumed just two beers, court documents have revealed.
Bishnu Rimal, 39, got behind the wheel on March 26 just after 9.30pm after drinking beers for more than four hours at the Australia Hotel and Brewery in Rouse Hill, in the city’s north west.
Just four minutes after leaving the venue carpark, Rimal crashed into a Mazda CX9 causing serious injuries to a 50-year-old father and a 17-year-old boy, who were on their way to attend a religious service.
The crash also caused serious injuries to Rimal’s front-seat passenger and friend Shanta Kharal, who had to undergo emergency surgery for internal injuries as well as fractures to her face and spine.
Court documents state Rimal told police who arrived at the scene he had just two beers before blowing 0.158 – more than three times over the legal limit.
“Police formed the view that the offender was affected by alcohol as they observed his eyes to be bloodshot, his body to be slumped over and he appeared confused and disorientated with slurred speech,” the court documents stated.
“The offender told police that he had consumed two beers. He was subjected to a roadside breath tests and returned a positive result.”
On May 3, Rimal participated in an interview at Castle Hill Police Station and made admissions about his “voluntary consumption of alcohol”.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and one count of causing bodily harm by misconduct in a motor vehicle. He pleaded guilty to all three charges.
The BMW i4 was registered with Ultimate Realty Property Group, where Rimal had been working prior to resigning. He now works at aniother real estate agent.
On Wednesday, Rimal faced Parramatta District Court for sentencing and was placed on an intensive correction order for two years and eight months.
He will be required to complete 500 hours of community service and to continue his mental health care plan.
He is also barred from driving until March 2026.
