A man has been arrested amid a police probe into a terrifying robbery in Brisbane’s south.
CCTV footage of the incident, released last week, captured a man wearing a clown mask and black clothing robbing a service station in Holland Park on December 29.
As he enters the Cavendish Rd business abut 7.30pm, he can be seen brandishing what appears to be a gun at an employee.
The footage captures him leaning over the counter, grabbing the entire cash till before running off into the night.
On Saturday, Queensland Police revealed a 39-year-old man had been charged with armed robbery over the incident.
“Following investigations, including information provided by members of the public, detectives yesterday attended a Mount Gravatt East address where they arrested a 39-year-old man,” the police service said in a statement.
“He has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today.”
The employee was not harmed during the incident.
The masked man was described as having a slim build with long dark hair.
