From Vaucluse to Bexley: Aussie billionaire Richard White’s new Sydney home

Despite allegedly dropping $13m on a Vaucluse ‘love nest’, WiseTech founder Richard White lives in another luxury property near Macca’s which has locals talking.

Australian billionaire’s surprising Sydney property he calls home

Exclusive: WiseTech founder Richard White’s alleged purchase of a $13 million love nest in the glamorous suburb of Vaucluse in Sydney’s eastern suburbs has dominated headlines in recent weeks.

But Mr White’s main residence isn’t the home that wellness entrepreneur Linda Rogan claims the billionaire has bought for her to live in.

Nor is it Mr White’s house in the northern beaches where the rich lister and his girlfriend Zena Nasser, a former criminal defence lawyer, reportedly held a baby shower over the weekend to celebrate the birth of their son.

Instead Mr White, who is worth an estimated $10 billion, has chosen the suburb of Bexley to call home.

The southwest Sydney suburb is where Mr White lived until he was 35 and he returned about a decade ago to purchase the former function centre on Forest Road.

Up the road is a McDonald’s fast food restaurant while down the road is Bexley Baptist Church.

Mr White has since demolished the existing property and built a luxury off-the-grid compound bordered by a security gate, polished sandstone and hedges.

Mr White’s best friends live in townhouses lining the back of the property and Mr White has since bought the houses on either side of the compound.

“He’s going to end up buying all of Bexley,” remarked one neighbour.

The WiseTech majority shareholder is apparently as generous to his neighbours as Ms Rogan alleges he was to her before their relationship soured.

Mr White purchased one of the neighbouring homes, a single storey brick home, for $3.5m in 2021.

That’s five times for what the property last sold in 2021 and twice the average price of a house in Bexley.

Council documents reveal plans to build a new single storey dwelling, pickleball and squash courts and a basement garage linking to the main property’s existing garage.

Mr White’s neighbours say Bexley’s local billionaire often disappears for weeks at a time and waves to them as he drives in and out of the luxury compound.

It’s inside this estate bordered by working class families that Ms Rogan, who owns three Laser Clinics Australia franchises, alleges that White made a business proposition that would end up being as much about sex as money.

About a month later Ms Rogan, who was under consideration for the reality television show Real Housewives of Sydney, alleges the penny dropped after she flew to New York at the billionaire’s behest in September 2022.

“When I arrived at the Park Lane Hotel to check in, I was informed that only one suite had been arranged,” Ms Rogan said in an affidavit filed with the Federal Court.

“I realised that Richard expected me to enter into a sexual relationship with him to fulfil the promise he would invest in my business. So I stayed with Richard in his suite and our relationship became sexual.”

The alleged sordid details of the liaison between Mr White and Ms Rogan became public fodder earlier this month after the billionaire filed a bankruptcy notice against the beauty entrepreneur.

The notice was in response to Ms Rogan claiming Mr White owed her $92,000 for furniture she bought for a $13m alleged love nest in Vaucluse, which the beautician claims the he bought in 2022 under the pseudonym Rick LeBlanc.

The furniture included a $6934 base, two $2400 love seats and $14,256 on two sofas.

Mr White and Ms Rogan are due to appear before Federal Court judge Nye Perram on February 6.

Mr White has denied the allegations made by Ms Rogan.

News Corp approached his representative and WiseTech for comment.

Mr White has denied Ms Rogan’s allegations and said the legal battle is over “unresolved commercial debt” related to cases brought by the beauty entrepreneur against him.
