There’s plenty happening in the final sprint towards election day – Peter Dutton’s electorate office has been trashed by vandals, both leaders have been ambushed by protesters and former PM Tony Abbott has criticised the overuse of Welcome to Country acknowledgments as “grating” and a “badge of political correctness”.

And for everyone annoyed by those relentless Trumpet of Patriot text messages, the man who authorised them is facing some internet karma.
