Aussie couple Lynley and Michael Le Grand had ‘15-year-old girls’ working at alleged Pink Spa Palace brothel in Bali

A Melbourne couple are facing criminal charges after police revealed more details about the spa they ran which allegedly offered prostitution services.

Girls as young as 15 were allegedly working at a “Bali brothel” run by a middle class Melbourne couple who are facing criminal charges.

Lynley and Michael Le Grand are likely to spend Christmas behind bars after their detention in Bali’s Denpasar Police Station was extended for 40 days.

Their three children were taken back to Australia as they now wait to find out their parents’ fate.

Indonesian police sought extra time to compile the case against the couple, who previously lived in a $3.6 million home in Sandringham, an exclusive bayside suburb in Melbourne.

Police alleged that “underage” girls were working at the Pink Palace Spa, which opened in May.

Sources in Bali claim that girls as young as 15 were employed at the Pink Palace Spa, but police have yet to formally detail their ages.

It’s alleged that the spa was offering sexual services, with advertisements including a “sensual body slide and hand relief” for $100.

“Female to female services” that involved “personal stimulation with a well trained female therapist” cost $140.

The Pink Palace Spa was far from discreet; it was painted in a fluorescent pink and was a short walk from the upmarket Seminyak Square shopping centre, which includes Billabong, Quiksilver and Rip Curl outlets.

The case against Michael, 50, and Lynley, 44, includes a child protection charge, Bali Police confirmed.

The underage girls were not arrested as they were victims, a police source said.

The Le Grands have been formally interviewed but have yet to face court.

They were expected to deny the allegations.

Michael had last month asked for a medical transfer to hospital after complaining of stomach pain and “pancreatic cancer” but he remains in the police holding cells.

The Le Grands had been prominent in the Australian expat community in Bali.

They also ran a series of bars called GOAT - Greatest of All Time - and the Corner House Bali restaurant.

The Corner House has continued operating while the Le Grands have been detained.

“MISSING AUSTRALIA?? FEAR NOT FRIENDS. ENJOY OUR ALL NEW AUSSIE FISH N CHIPS PLATTER FOR 2,” the restaurant’s Facebook page said.

Sources in Bali have been shocked at the way the Le Grands had advertised the Pink Palace Spa when it opened in May.

They also said that the Le Grands had been making good money from their other businesses and questioned why they needed to allegedly open a brothel.

The Le Grands’ arrest coincided with Bali police shutting down the Flame Spa, which was linked to former AFL star Ricky Olarenshaw.

His wife Saranitha Olarenshaw has been charged with operating the Flame Spa as a brothel, but she has denied she was the owner.

There is no suggestion that underage girls were working at the Flame Spa.

Ricky Olarenshaw has moved back to Australia, with Bali police finding no record of his name on any official paperwork.

The Olarenshaws’ nine-year-old daughter has been living with her grandparents in Indonesia while her mother awaits court on Monday, November 4.
