A LUXURY seven-storey apartment complex in East Toowoomba has opened for expressions of interest for sales despite no plans being lodged with the regional council.

Verona Apartments promises to bring "a new level of luxury to Toowoomba living" to a corner block bordered by James and Burke Sts, fronting Tourist Rd.

A single sign has been installed on the eastern tip of the triangular block, calling for expressions of interest in the development.

Entry level apartments are understood to start at about $600,000, while top level penthouses are likely to sell for about $2.5 million.

However, no plans have yet been lodged with the Toowoomba Regional Council.

Publicly available records indicate the triangular block takes in three lots over a total of 2547sq m.

The marketing campaign bills it as a development opportunity for "Toowoomba's next multi-level residential complex" in a premier position over a total 2547sqm.

The Verona Apartments website launched this month.

"With such an iconic location on the Toowoomba range, along with our vision on building design and classic, luxury interiors, we genuinely believe we can make Verona a masterpiece for our residents," Verona Developments' Tim Wright and Mark Peart state on the site.

Detailed plans of the development were not published online but architect Wade Eiser of Aspect Architects, on the site, said the "shared vision is to create a life changing abode layered with luxuriousness and urban comforts - unique to the select few who choose to call Verona home".

Aspect Architects interior designer Caroline Dann, on the site, said it would include public lounges, pools and gardens wrapping around "the podium anchoring the residences to the communal landscape".

The Chronicle contacted the Verona's developers for comment.
