MOTORISTS travelling between Toowoomba and Brisbane will be travelling on a new part of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing from today.
Nexus, the consortium building the TSRC, said from today, traffic will be moved on to the permanent westbound lanes of the realigned Warrego Highway at Helidon Spa.
"Changed traffic conditions until mid-2018 involve temporarily reducing the highway to one lane in each direction," Nexus said.
"All traffic will be on a newly built section of the TSRC from 1km east of Twidales Road to 2km west of Connoles Road."
The company said speed limits would be reduced to 60km/hr in the work zones at all times and hole and release traffic control may be in place outside peak traffic times.
"Over the coming months you will start to see this gateway to the TSRC really take shape," Nexus said.
