EACH year volunteers from the Salvation Army wrap hundreds of gifts of all shapes and sizes. There has even been a lawn mower.
This year there will be two gift wrapping stations at Grand Central to make your presents look even better under the Christmas tree.
Volunteer Pam Bruggemann has been doing it for six years and said money was donated in exchange for wrapping, which goes straight back to the community.
"I love talking to people so it's a good opportunity to relate to people," she said.
"I love gift wrapping so it gets my creative skills going. But it's amazing by the time you have wrapped 100 presents in a day how sore your thumbs can get."
Ms Bruggemann said she saw it as a great way to serve the community and bring a smile to someone's face.
"We put that little bit of effort in. We like to give that bit extra - a pretty look and they appreciate it," she said.
The Salvation Army is always looking for more volunteers to work at the booths. To do it call or text Samantha Creamer on 0419 969 232.
The booths are located on level one outside Myer and on the ground floor near Best and Less until December 24.
