A young man is recovering after he was allegedly assaulted in Toowoomba.
The incident occurred on Friday about 11.42pm on James St, in East Toowoomba.
Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service were called to the scene and treated the man aged in his 30s, for a serious head injury.
He was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service said police were also called to the incident but the person accused of the assault was not at the scene.
The QPS spokeswoman said the victim did not file a complaint.
