UPDATE: A Dalby man was hospitalised after being cut from the wreckage of a three-vehicle collision on the Warrego Hwy near Oakey.
Oakey police officer Senior Constable Warren Schefe said it appeared an eastbound ute was waiting to turn right from the highway into Speeds Rd about 6.40am when a sedan following behind collided with the rear of the ute.
Snr Const. Schefe said the ute then spun into the path of an oncoming small truck, which just clipped the ute as it went past.
The 25-year-old Dalby man had to be cut free from the sedan before being taken to Toowoomba Hospital.
Snr Const. Schefe said the male drivers of the ute and the light truck were not injured.
The highway was closed for about 30 minutes while the scene was cleared.
It was reopened about 7.45am.
