A man has been charged with a violent act causing death months after a 49-year-old man collapsed at the Wadeye health clinic.

A man has been accused of committing a violent act causing death, months after his alleged victim collapsed at a remote Northern Territory health clinic.
Northern Territory Police have charged a 29-year-old man in relation to the death in September last year.
On September 19, a 49-year-old man went to the Wadeye clinic and said he had been assaulted.
While at the clinic the man collapsed and was airlifted to the Royal Darwin Hospital, where he died five days later.
In a statement police said that after “exhaustive investigations” including forensic examinations, witness canvassing and consultations with the Department of Public Prosecutions, detectives went to Wadeye on Thursday and arrested the 29-year-old in relation to the death.
He was charged with a violent act causing death and was remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court on Friday.
