1. La Taste

FROM the age of 13 La Taste owner Paul Worrill has been perfecting the art of pizzas, a calling inspired by his uncle who ran a family pizzeria.

One bite from anything on the pizza house's menu and you will know you are sampling some of the freshest local ingredients available combined with years of mastery in pizzas and pastas.

LaTaste has a goal to put the eater's personality in their pizza with their unique flavours and types.

Reader Kaylene Reiken loves their Thai beef pizza.

In February this year, Mr Worrill claimed to have made the biggest pizza in Toowoomba.

A Texan visitor to the Garden City ordered the pizza so large it would not fit in a box.

Mr Worrall baked the 32-inch (81.2cm) piece of perfection for a customer who wanted to share a unique meal with his wife for her birthday.

WITH more than 20 years' hospitality experience, Piccolo Papa owners Liam and Ceyda Saggers are no strangers to creating culinary delights to even the most fussiest of taste buds.

Reader Michael Oo said Piccolo Papa was the best in Toowoomba by "a million miles" with its quality ingredients.

"I would love to see anyone else with any kind of quality and finesse in town," he said.

The pizzeria launched a new pizza menu on Tuesday, which includes The Moroccan which has North African Lamb Merguez, house-smoked aubergine caviar, Persian feta, green capsicum and of course its signature Italian fior di latte ' fresh' mozzarella.

The family-owned Italian restaurant is at High St Shopping Centre.
