YOUR SAY: There has been a rise in the basic wage but nothing for pensioners.
Costs of essential services have risen, e.g. electricity, car registrations, insurance, some medical and pharmaceutical products, gas, meat and numerous lines of foodstuff. Not everything has risen; petrol is possibly a little cheaper.
The every-day essentials are becoming harder to purchase yet governments can spend millions on unwarranted investigations and commissions, supply smokes, mobile phones and the best medical attention to illegal migrants. Charity begins at home.
