Lights on the Hill convoy heads down the Range

MORE than 100 trucks had pre-registered for this year's Lights on the Hill convoy which set out from Toowoomba and Brisbane today to meet up in Gatton.

A LARGE convoy of heavy vehicles has set out from Toowoomba on the annual Lights on the Hill Memorial tour this morning.

For the first time, the convoy will travel down the Range via the newly opened Toowoomba Bypass to Gatton where it will meet up with a similar convoy which set out from Brisbane about the same time this morning.

Lights on the Hill honours members of the trucking and transport industries.

Another 31 names will be added to the memorial wall in Gatton during a ceremony tomorrow from 10am at Lake Apex in Gatton.

More than 100 trucks had pre-registered for the drive from Toowoomba and Brisbane to Gatton.
