One Toowoomba dance teacher has plenty of reason to twist and shout after she was named Toowoomba’s best dance teacher in The Chronicle’s online poll.

Going up against stiff competition, it was JE Dancehouse owner Jameille Eugarde who received the highest number of votes and you could say the dancing shoe fits.

Dancing since she was just three-years-old, it wasn’t until her teenage years that she discovered her love for teaching others.

And while her studio which has been operating in the region since 2015, offers everything from jazz and tap, to Irish and contemporary, Ms Eugarde said ballet is what captured her heart many years ago.

“Dancing is my whole passion and life and to be able to pass that on to others through teaching is a dream come true,” she said.

“Whether you’re watching the growth over 12 months of 10 years, it’s so exciting to see students achieving their best.”

The dance enthusiast said the secret to her studio’s success was its personable approach and commitment to helping students excel.

“This isn’t a business to us, this is a home and we’re one big family where everyone knows each other’s names,” Ms Eugarde said.

I love each and every child and it’s so incredible to hear that the mums who voted for us think so highly of our studio and teachers.”

JE Dancehouse is at 2 Cumming St, North Toowoomba.
