Toowoomba business donates much-needed car to family in need
A deserving family has been gifted a car thanks to the generosity of a local business. It is the 11th car the business has donated the those in need.

LIFE will now be a little easier for one local family after a Toowoomba business gifted them with a car.
Cheap Cars Toowoomba donated a second-hand vehicle to a family with two young children – one of which needs to travel for medical appointments regularly.
The 2001 Holden Astra is the 11th car the business has donated to date and will go a long way after the well-deserving recipients have gone without a car for some time.
“We at Cheap Cars Toowoomba are extremely proud of this community initiative – to see first-hand how this donation makes life a little easier for members of our community is just wonderful,” Cheap Cars Toowoomba manager Les Hollist said.
“We would also like to thank Phil from Auto Fix who worked with us to ensure this vehicle is roadworthy and ready for its new owner … Phil has been a great supporter of this program over the years.”
Working closely with Lifeline Darling Downs chief executive officer Derek Tuffield, the business was able to find a family that the gift would best assist.
“This is the 11th vehicle Cheap Cars Toowoomba has donated to individuals and families in need in our community,” Mr Tuffield said.
“It is a pleasure to work with Les and the team and to see the joy on the faces of those who receive this very generous gift – it is often life changing.”
