UPDATE: Queensland Fire and Emergency Services officers used the Jaws of Life to free a man trapped after his car was involved in the three-vehicle crash today.
The man, aged in his late 20s, was trapped for about 25 minutes.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics treated the man for a serious chest injury and transported him to the Toowoomba Hospital.
A woman, also aged in her 20s, sustained minor injuries but did not require a trip to hospital.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Gowrie St and Norwood St, about 1pm.
