WORKPLACE Health and Safety Queensland is investigating another rollover at the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing worksite, after an incident on Friday.
State Minister for Main Roads and Transport Mark Bailey said he had been advised of the rollover at the $1.6 billion project.
"An excavator rolled on soft dirt when the operator was moving the excavator to the designated parking area," Mr Bailey said.
"The operator was not injured and no other workers were in the area at the time.
"Health and safety on this project continues to be a major focus, and we are taking this latest report seriously."
It is the latest in a long list of troubles at Nexus' TSRC site.
The State Government suspended works for the first week of May after two dangerous incidents on the TSRC viaduct construction near Mt Kynoch.
Prior to that, Ministers Mark Bailey and Grace Grace launched an extraordinary intervention in February over Nexus' numerous health and safety breaches, commissioning an independent audit that was finalised on May 2.
The audit recommended Nexus implement 51 changes to safety procedures at the TSRC worksite.
"I am not satisfied with the operations on this site - the safety of workers is paramount," Mr Bailey said yesterday.
"That is why I instructed my Director General to appoint an independent audit of the site earlier this year. That report has been received, reviewed, and released publicly.
"I have made it clear that given there have been so many plant rollovers and serious concerns raised by WHSQ, we need to see a significant improvement.
"The Department of Transport and Main Roads will continue to work with Nexus to support WHSQ's investigation before determining if any further action is required."
Nexus was contacted for comment.
