THE market for vacant land around Toowoomba is booming, according to Colliers International Toowoomba's Brad "The Land Man" Lipp, who hosted the annual House and Land Expo over the weekend.

Mr Lipp said land sales inquiries had increased by 127 per cent since the start of the year.

"The marketplace at the moment for land sales is incredible," he said.

"We've had eight sales just this week, and we'll end up making 12-15 sales out of the day... so that's really good."

Mr Lipp said people were interested in buying land right across the region, from Cambooya to Wyreema, Westbrook, Cotswold Hills, Highfields, Hodgson Valley, and even Kearneys Spring.

Saturday's House and Land Expo saw 300-odd people turn out to the "one-stop shop" for housing needs.

With home specialists, salespeople, solicitors, and lenders in attendance, Mr Lipp said this year's expo was "the best one we've put together". "We're all so time poor and it's just so much easier for buyers to come talk to everyone in the one place," he said.
