His love for skateboarding flourished when he was just nine-years-old and found his first board at the dump, but now he’s turned his vision into a popular business.
Toowoomba’s Liam Burton has combined his two greatest passions – skateboarding and art – to launch his own brand Boreding, where he designs unique artworks for boards.
Until recently, he was working full-time in management roles in the hospitality sector, but now Mr Burton is keen to see where his business venture will take him.
“The first skateboarding deck I made was our local skate park Chalk Drive and I just sold them to all the locals,” he said.

The artist said skateboards are no longer just for skating, with a growing trend of people displaying them at artworks.
“When I travel, I buy skateboards that represents the country and skate them, but then I hang them on my wall when I get home,” he said.
