Hells Angels bikie boss Angelo Pandeli lands back in Australia after being deported from Dubai

Bikie heavyweight Angelo Pandeli landed back in Sydney just before 6pm on Thursday after being sent on his way by authorities in the UAE.

Who is the Hells Angel Kingpin Angelo Pandeli?

Hells Angels bikie boss Angelo Pandeli is back in Australia and under arrest, after being deported from Dubai.

The bikie heavyweight landed back in Sydney just before 6pm on Thursday, after being put on Emirates flight UAE416 and being sent on his way by authorities in the UAE.

The Australian Federal Police confirmed Pandeli, who grew up in Whyalla and left Australia in the late-2010s, was back. “An Australian man, 53, has been deported by Dubai authorities,” an AFP spokesperson said in a statement.

“No further comment will be made at this time.”

Pandeli was unexpectedly detained by UAE authorities a week ago, with news of the situation soon making its way back to Australia.

Having long been a target of the Australian Federal Police’s offshore disruption task force Operation Gain, it was initially unclear who had detained him and why.

Pandeli has been on the radar of law enforcement for many years, as an alleged major underworld figure whose standing in that world has continued to grow over the years he has been abroad.

He has been on the top 20 list of the Australian Priority Organisation Targets for several years.

It is understood while Pandeli has been arrested, he has not been charged with any offences since landing back in Australia. He had been living large in Dubai, posing with his family on the water in front of the Burj Al Arab luxury tower.

His return follows the high-profile extraditions of Comanchero bikie Mark Buddle from Turkey in 2022, and alleged Alameddine crime clan figure Masood Zakaria late last year.
