DARLING Downs Health has confirmed one new case of COVID-19 coronavirus in the health service area.
Today's confirmed case is from Toowoomba, and is a direct contact to a confirmed case of a returned traveler.
Contact tracing is under way for the new case.
The Darling Downs Health public health team is working hard to ensure all community members who were in contact with confirmed cases and are at a high risk are notified.
The new case brings the total number of cases in the Darling Downs Health area to 16.

Darling Downs Health wants everyone to know they can play their part to protect themselves and the more vulnerable in the community.
