TRANSLINK has begun a 12-monthly review of its Toowoomba Bus Service Improvement Project, providing people with the chance to formally have their say.

TRANSLINK has begun a 12-monthly review of its Toowoomba Bus Service Improvement Project, providing people with the chance to formally have their say on the project. 

The Toowoomba Bus Service Improvement Project was implemented on June 19 last year, after what TransLink described as "significant engagement with Toowoomba Regional Council and provider Bus Queensland", which included analysis of existing services, and "significant community consultation". 

Despite that, Crows Nest and Highfields residents were left underwhelmed by the new 950 bus service to Toowoomba, as The Chroniclereported last year. 

Toowoomba North MP Trevor Watts and Condamine MP Pat Weir, through posts on Facebook, have both encouraged residents of Crows Nest and Highfields to provide their feedback to TransLink during the review process.

A TransLink spokesman said TransLink "regularly undertakes internal reviews of major service changes 12 months after the changes have been introduced".

"The Toowoomba Bus Service Improvement Project was implemented on June 19, 2017 and included service changes to coverage, alignments, frequency and the introduction of Sunday services.

"The review process is used to identify how the network is performing, the effectiveness of the changes and to finalise the project from a quality assurance perspective.

"The process also takes into account patronage and operational data, as well as any customer feedback received since the network change via the TransLink call centre and website."
