Luxury lovers can get a taste of the high life and cruise along one of the most beautiful roads in Queensland in a world-class supercar – for a price.
Palm Cove adults-only retreat the Reef House has teamed up with luxury car tourism company The Prancing Horse to deliver a one-of-a-kind driving experience.
For just under $5000, Reef House guests can cruise along 500km of the Great Barrier Reef Drive in the comfort of the world’s most coveted supercars – with Ferraris, Aston Martins and more on offer.
For $4990 a couple can enjoy 12 hours of dining and driving through world-class panoramic coastline from the top of Palm Cove to the depths of the Daintree.
Prancing Horse co-owner Matt Thio said Palm Cove was an obvious choice when curating a luxury driving experience.
“We heard a lot about the Great Barrier Reef Drive so we did a recce last year just to scout out the roads. We immediately got goosebumps,” Mr Thio said.
“Far North Queensland feels very different to any other place we’ve been to around Australia.
“Where else can you get mountain ranges and beautiful sugarcane right next to the ocean?
“We’ve got a brand new Ferrari 296 GTV, a Ferrari Roma, McLaren GT, Audi R8, Aston Martin Vantage F1 edition and a Lotus Emira V6 edition – so an eclectic mix of cars to choose from.
“People walk away thinking it’s one of the best things they’ve ever done in their life.”
Tourism Tropical North Queensland chief executive officer Mark Olsen said the experience would attract luxury seekers from across Australia to the region.
“Tropical North Queensland’s dual World Heritage areas are an international drawcard that appeals to the growing luxury market,” Mr Olsen said.
“Our natural assets have encouraged investment in high-quality tourism infrastructure.”
Reef House general manager Wayne Harris said the supercars opportunity opened another exclusive experience to customers.
“Our guests do return time and time again, and we have already received bookings for next year to come and try this experience,” Mr Harris said.
“So we’re looking forward to this partnership growing year on year, and people coming back to try different cars.”
The one-day driving experience is limited to just five couples per day from May 15 to June 7, 2026.
