A world-renowned Michelin star chef is getting ready to cook up a storm during a three-day event on the Gold Coast.
TV personality and English chef, Marco Pierre White, will bring his tantalising and “inspiring” talent to HOTA from June 5 to 7.
The event will feature a conversation event in the theatre, a Q and A and finish with a “once-in-a-lifetime” five-course dinner.
Mr White, who has almost 400,000 followers on Instagram, said he was “thrilled” to be returning to HOTA after the success of his 2023 event.
“There’s something truly special about the Gold Coast. The energy, the people, the passion for food,” he said.
“Palette (at HOTA) is a restaurant that understands the artistry of cuisine and experience.
“These events are about more than just cooking, they’re about sharing stories, experiences, and creating unforgettable moments together.”
Some of the dishes will include an onion and mushroom topped Stanbroke Sanchoku wagyu fillet, a Stanthorpe truffle soaked chicken liver parfait, a delicious jelly of red fruits and shellfish newburg.
Experience Gold Coast head of arts and culture Yarmila Alfonzetti said the event will bring together some of the city’s best chefs.
HOTA’s executive chef Dayan Hartill-Law said having Mr White in the kitchen was “an honour”.
“His knowledge, his storytelling, and the way he approaches food is truly inspiring,” he said.
“This time around, we’ve taken it even further, from fire-fulled outdoor events to the most intimate of dinners.
“I can’t wait for guests to experience the incredible line-up of flavours, talent and creativity we’ve curated together.”
General admission tickets for Friday June 6 are on sale and priced at $500.
The event comes less than four months after Michelin awarded chef Akihiro Kitade was named head chef at Japanese restaurant One Eighty in Labrador.
