The Gold Coast’s newest luxury hotel, which has rooms starting at $749 per night, has received a flurry of reviews after its opening weekend.
The 22-storey Mondrian Gold Coast opened on the Burleigh Heads shoreline on June 10 after nearly four years under construction.
After two successful weekends, guests have said the hotel rivals the famous The Langham Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise.
By June 16, the Mondrian had already received a 4.7 star rating on Google Reviews, with some stating it was “world class”.
“Absolutely 100 per cent the best, not only on the Gold Coast but in Australia,” Renee Van Veen said.
“The quality is exceptional, how can you compete with this view.”
Chris Kotis added it was “the world’s best hotel” with “incredible food and the rooms are world-class”.
The Mondrian replied to Mr Kotis’s review and said: “we are so glad you enjoyed the food and found the rooms to be world-class. It truly means a lot to hear such kind words”.
Other reviews said it was “what the Gold Coast needed” with “first-class service”.
However, world-class service comes with world-class prices.
The Mondrian’s standard rates for a studio king start from $749 a night and the equivalent of the presidential suite is a whopping $10,000 a night.
The Sky House includes three kingsize bedroom ensuites, a private chef’s kitchen, two bars, and living spaces.
The price also includes a return airport transfer, or valet parking, daily a la carte breakfast at Lito, a selection of in room refreshments, a personal host to help curate your stay and a selection of touchless therapies in Ciel Spa.
In contrast, the celebrity-approved The Langham hotel has rooms starting from $388 a night, with their chairman’s ocean suite priced at $4,500 a night.
The chairman’s ocean suite includes two bedrooms, two lounge areas, a full-size study, a dining area, a butler’s pantry and an “opulent” marble bathroom with a separate shower and a spacious circular spa bathtub.
