Passengers are experiencing delays at Gold Coast Airport after an incident which blocked off a section of the arrivals terminal.
A Gold Coast Airport spokesperson said they have to activate security protocols after an isolated incident at the facility on Wednesday morning.
It was understood the incident meant all passengers taking a flight to Sydney had to go through screening again.
“Operational delays were experienced as a result,” the spokesperson said.
“Gold Coast Airport is working with its airline partners to manage the impact to customers.
“Operations have resumed, however there will be some flight delays as a result.
“We thank passengers for their patience during this time and will endeavour to get them on their way as soon as possible.”
