We are on the hunt for the Gold Coast’s best general practitioner and we need your help.

After hundreds of nominations, we have named the finalists — now it’s your turn to vote.

Heather Fraser-Bell nominated Dr Michelle David from Prime Medical in Palm Beach for her work ethic and empathy.

“She goes above and beyond for her patients,” she said.

“She never rushes you out the door and takes time to discuss what’s going on.

“She asks after your family and offers so much care and support.”

Dr Tariq Islam from Help Medical at Pacific Fair was nominated for his “expertise and knowledge”.

“His ability to diagnose, treat and guide people toward better health is remarkable and life changing,” Tachanah Ancharuz said on Facebook.

Dr Wehipeihana said it had been an “absolute privilege to serve the community” for the past 20 years as a general practitioner.

Nominations, via the comment section on our Facebook post, were calculated and finalists were announced on Friday, November 28 at 6pm.

Finalist voting is a subscriber-only poll vote that runs on the Bulletin website.

The poll will close on Friday, December 5 at 6pm.

The winner will be announced in the Gold Coast Bulletin paper and online.

**Note nominations from outside the City of Gold Coast will not be counted**
