A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after taking a tumble from his bike on a hilly hinterland road.
The 51-year-old man suffered shoulder and chest injuries after falling from his bike on Beechmont Rd in Advancetown near the intersection with Nerang Murwillumbah Rd.
The accident took place near the foot of a hill shortly before 9am on Saturday.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics brought the man to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable condition.
