Through relentless trend cycles, a financial crisis, and a pandemic, the Gold Coast’s Sonia Stradiotto Couture has remained a fixture of the Queensland fashion scene.
Sonia Stradiotto has made a name for herself as the designer behind iconic looks, but after more than three decades in the industry, she has lifted the curtain on her life and career in a new memoir.
“The original desire to write the book was sharing what you can’t Google,” Ms Stradiotto said of the autobiography.
“It goes back to how we make people feel, genuine connections… the secret foundation to business is relationships.”
Ms Stradiatto has been dubbed the Gold Coast’s Queen of Couture, a crown she wears with pride.
“I think that’s an absolute honour and I feel privileged that people call me that ... it’s been earnt from blood, sweat and tears, by not burning a bridge, by trying to always do our best to serve and love people,” she said.
“The brand has grown with women, honoured women, and stayed with the true sizing of Australian women.
“Amazing occurrences and connections happen when wearing my brand. I think that’s the secret to the brand’s longevity. It’s personal, my name’s on your tag, in the window, on your bag.”
Inside the cover of the memoir, House of Couture, readers can expect to get to know the woman behind the label, from a girl with a dream to an industry leader.
