The Royal Darwin Show is on again Thursday 24 to Saturday 26 July, from 9am to 10pm.
The pavilions and grounds will be packed once again with interesting and entertaining displays and stalls, showcasing the creative endeavour and the diverse range of skills and talents of our community.
As the Territory’s oldest and largest community event, the Royal Darwin Show is a celebration of everything that makes us unique.
From inspirational local talent and produce to plants, animals, arts, craft and culture, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Don’t miss the equestrian action, the best of Territory cattle, small livestock and poultry, diverse cat breeds, dog events including agility and obedience, the baby animals’ nursery, and the chance to meet birds, native animals and snakes in Aviculture Hall.
You’ll love the Outback Jack Stockman, the popular Dinkum Dinosaurs, the Australian Light Horsemen exhibit and the historic saddles corner, Holden Vs Ford performance Utes will be going head to head, and you won’t want to miss the fun and cakes of the celebrity baking challenge and the grand parade on Friday, or the traditional spear throwing and hilarious Mascot Race on Saturday.
Dennis Massoud is back creating his stunning sand sculptures with free workshops for children, and champion Rob Bast will be carving beautiful sculptures with his chainsaw. There’s a great line up of live entertainment at the Bandstand, from of rock, country, pop, cultural dance, clowns and performers on Friday and Saturday, and a spectacular fireworks finale on Saturday night.
Choose from a huge variety of the latest and best showbags, and soak up the fun and excitement of Sideshow Alley with more games and thrilling new rides for all ages throughout the Show.
