A reckless motorbike rider is being sought after a series of alleged dangerous acts on Geelong roads.
It is alleged the dirt bike was seen riding and lane splitting “at times on one wheel” along Settlement Rd in Belmont and on Breakwater Rd on Sunday, before running a red light on Barwon Heads Rd.
Senior Sergeant Aaron Riches said the rider then took off at speed towards St Albans Park on Breakwater Rd where the rider was “regularly seen breaking road rules and riding dangerously”.
Police are seeking help from the public to identify the person believed to have hidden a rear registration plate in an effort to avoid detection.
Snr-Sgt Riches said it had been “deliberately bent up”.
The rider is described as six-foot tall, slim build, wearing a dark hooded top and black tracksuit pants, and dark coloured boots.
The dirt bike helmet has a motive on the rear, with the black bike likely a 250 or 400cc.
“The bike has little to no muffler and causes significant noise when used,” he said.
Police believe the same rider also has an orange dirt bike and commits similar offending in the Thomson area.
