Police are continuing to direct traffic on one of Geelong’s busiest roads after an incident on Thursday afternoon.

A central traffic light pole on Latrobe Tce, at the intersection of Gorden Ave, was downed.

The accident delayed traffic on the busy thoroughfare.

Victoria Police confirmed one vehicle was involved in the incident.

There were no injuries.

It appeared the vehicle was travelling westbound along Latrobe Terrace about 3pm.

Traffic continued to move slowly in both directions while emergency services attended the scene.
