Once a sleepy-hollow and industrial city, Geelong and the Surf Coast is now brimming with fantastic restaurants, chic wine bars and hidden foodie hot spots.

The Addy has compiled a list of the region’s cream of the crop.

These are pubs, eateries and restaurants that stand out among their peers.

Some have been recognised by international accolades, while others are flying under the radar.

The list is headed by award-winning Birregurra restaurant Brae, a world-renowned restaurant on the city’s doorstep.

Meanwhile, Malop St establishment Frankie Bar and Eatery has been voted the People’s Choice winner for best restaurant in the region.
