A Geelong woman who dissapeared from a Grovedale house may be travelling near the NSW and Victorian border as detectives issue a fresh plea for information.

A search is underway for Grovedale woman Alisha, 28, last seen at a Polley Court address at about 8pm on Tuesday.

Investigators believe she may be travelling in a white 2008 Ford Falcon with distinctive black and white number plates “and a loud engine” with registration ACX662.

A police spokesman said her family have concerns for her safety due to an existing medical condition, and her behaviour being “out of character.”

She was last seen wearing a black “Hoodrich” hoodie and black Adidas pants, and is described as being approximately 165cm tall, of thin build, with blonde hair and tattoos on her forearm and neck.

“It is believed that Alisha could in the Geelong area or travelling near the border of Victoria and New South Wales,” a police spokesman said.

Anyone with information or CCTV/dashcam footage is urged to contact Waurn Ponds Police Station on 52473500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800333000
