Two women killed in a horror collision on the Great Ocean Road on Tuesday have been identified.
Police have been told two vehicles collided head-on about 3.40pm near Princetown, about 150km southwest of Geelong.
A 46-year-old woman from Hampton East in Melbourne and a 35-year-old Chinese citizen, travelling in separate vehicles, both died at the scene.
Three people were also taken to hospital following the collision.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit were on scene for much of Tuesday afternoon and into the evening as they gathered evidence.
They will continue to investigate the tragedy.
