A stretch of the Hamilton Hwy was closed on Thursday morning after a truck rollover.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Stonehaven about 1am.

The highway is closed in both directions between Pollockford and Friend In Hand roads.

A Victoria Police spokesman said officers were investigating the rollover.

“The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries,” the spokesman said.

Drivers were being urged to use the Princes Hwy further south around the closure or take Fyansford-Gheringhap and Bannockburn-Shelford roads to the north.

It is unknown when the highway will re-open.
