FedEx incident results in man being transported to hospital

A man believed to be in his 60s has been injured in a vehicle accident at a major international shipping organisation.

A man in his 60s has been hurt in a workplace accident at North Geelong’s industrial hub.

It’s understood the man was involved in a reported vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon at the FedEx site on Weddell Rd.

A spokeswoman from Ambulance Victoria said paramedics were called to an incident in North Geelong about 3:20pm.

“One person was transported by road ambulance to University Hospital Geelong,” she said.

A spokesman from WorkSafe said inspectors would look into the incident.
