Glennie red carpet arrivals

THE Glennie School celebrated the achievements of the 2018 graduating class with style and flair at Picnic Point last Thursday night.

The young women arrived in a range of transportation ranging from vintage vehicles to the latest models of sport cars.

The Glennie School Principal Kim Cohen said the formal was the end of a beautiful week where the students and their parents had been celebrated.

"It has been a time for our girls to express their gratitude to their parents and the school for the love and support they had received during their schooling journey," Mrs Cohen said.

"Every year at this time I think not only about the young women in our care who are about to embark on their exciting adventure but also the parents.

"It is an exciting and exhilarating time, filled with promise and anticipation."

Mrs Cohen congratulated Leigh Duffin, Sue Rollason and the Year 12 formal committee for organising the occasion.

Mrs Rollason said the graduating students had emulated integrity, respect, compassion and courage in their academic, sporting and community focused endeavours.

"The evening celebrated their achievements as they take all they have learned at Glennie and build the foundations for a successful future," Mrs Rollason said.

Mr Duffin said the school's staff knew the graduates would make a significant contribution to the community.

"We wish them all the best with their future endeavours, they will be missed," Mr Duffin said.
