TANYA Appleby has been welcomed to her new role as St Ursula's College principal with a well-attended cocktail party on Friday night.

TANYA Appleby has been welcomed to her new role as St Ursula's College principal with a well-attended cocktail party on Friday night.

The evening was held in the St Ursula's College Dining Room, and followed Mrs Appleby's official welcome on Thursday. 

Mrs Appleby was commissioned by Bishop Robert McGuckin at a full-school ceremony. 

She replaced former principal Ann Marie Pawsey, who led the college for 13 years up until the end of term two this year.
