THE graduates of Oakey State High School brought style to the school's formal celebration on November 16.

Students and staff enjoyed a memorable day of celebrations before their formal at the Oakey Cultural Centre.

Oakey State High School deputy principal Victoria Menkins said she was grateful of the support the students' parents and carers had provided them throughout their lives.

"Graduation day is a very proud moment for the parents as they watch their children reach an important milestone after years of support, guidance, laughter and tears," she said.

"The day was a time for the students to celebrate and reflect on the joys, the values and experiences they had shared with teachers and peers at the school.

Mrs Menkins said the teachers had helped the students build resilience and taught them that challenges make life interesting.

Oakey State High School principal Danny Keenan said the students ought to be proud of what they had achieved in the year.

"This year's graduates had achieved great success in academics, sports and the school community," Mr Keenan said.

The students celebrated their formal with a sit-down dinner and a night of dancing.

"I am thankful of the effort this year's graduates had displayed throughout the year," he said.

"They have gone above what was expected of them and have turned into wonderful young adults.

"I wish them all the very best in the next step of their lives."
