TOOWOOMBA residents living with a disability will benefit from a partnership between YellowBridge Queensland and Toowoomba Toyota.
The agreement marks a collaboration between the car company and the not-for-profit organisation that supports more than 4000 people throughout the Darling Downs each year.
Toowoomba Toyota is now the exclusive vehicle sponsor for the organisation, providing two cars, including a HiAce van with specially fitted wheelchair ramp.
YellowBridge CEO Penny Hamilton said the partnership meant the world of difference to its clients.
"At YellowBridge our philosophy is all about working together no matter what side of the private or community fence you sit," she said.
"Transporting our clients is one of the most critical things we do because it's about integrating them with the community.
"But we have to do it safely so a specially-fitted vehicle is of the utmost importance to us."
Toowoomba Toyota dealer principal Brett Motton said he liked to see the company integrating with the community.
"We take our business and social responsibilities very seriously and supporting the local community through partnerships like this one is important to us," he said.
The partnership goes one step further with Toowoomba Toyota to be the foundation partner of YellowBridge's new social enterprise Collectables, which will open on Tuesday, June 7.
Collectables will feature a boutique op shop, men's shed and group activity space to help people with a disability gain employment and learn new skills.
