Darwin’s biggest music festival is back, and it’s bringing some serious heat along with Aussie hip hop legends.

BASSINTHEGRASS 2025 has just dropped its official line-up, and it’s packed with chart-toppers, electronic wizards, and local legends set to take over Mindil Beach on Saturday, May 17.

Leading the charge are Aussie hip-hop icons Hilltop Hoods, fresh off their latest hit The Gift, featuring Darwin’s own Marlon.

Joining them are international powerhouses Jax Jones and Jaded from the UK, plus Nigerian hitmaker Kah-Lo, ready to bring the beats to the Top End.

For the homegrown heroes, Darwin’s own DJ/Producer Cyril is returning to rock the stage after a breakout year with his song Stumblin’ In dominating the Aussie airwaves.

If you love genre-bending music, Hot Dub Time Machine, The Jungle Giants, Meg Mac, and The Amity Affliction are set to deliver electrifying performances, while folk-pop duo The Dreggs bring their signature sound to the sand.

And that’s just scratching the surface – with 12 artists making their BASSINTHEGRASS debut, this year promises to be the freshest yet.

Unlike some of Australia’s struggling music festivals, BASSINTHEGRASS continues to thrive, drawing thousands of music lovers from across the country.

In 2024, the festival injected more than $13 million into the NT economy, proving it’s not just about the music – it’s a major win for local tourism and businesses.

NT Major Events Minister Marie-Clare Boothby says the festival’s ability to attract interstate visitors is a game-changer.

“BASSINTHEGRASS isn’t just a music festival – it’s a Territory experience. People come for the beats, but they stay for the adventure,” Ms Boothby said.

This year, festivalgoers can expect more than just epic performances.

The BASSment stage is back, delivering a top-tier electronic dance lineup headlined by Australian EDM star LUUDE.

For those looking to keep the party going, the silent disco returns, while premium ticket holders can enjoy VIP areas, exclusive bars, and a brand-new BASS Camp, packed with family-friendly activities.
