A CHARGE arising from a car crash in which a young woman was killed has again been adjourned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Michael Roy Glass, 67, of Maryborough, has been charged with driving without due care and attention causing the death of 20-year-old Brianna Makeham arising from a single vehicle rollover on the New England Highway near Emu Creek, 19km north of Crows Nest on May 31.

He has not been required to enter any plea to the charge and was not required to be in court yesterday when the matter was briefly mentioned.

Solicitor Claire Graham, acting as town agent for the defendant's solicitor, asked the court for an adjournment as certain material was still outstanding.

Ms Makeham, from Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, and her then five-month old son were returning from a trip to Maryborough where they had visited her mother.

Ms Makeham was pronounced dead at the scene after the Mitsubishi Pajero she, her son and mother and Glass had been travelling in rolled a number of times about 4pm that day.

The others in the car survived the crash.

Magistrate Kay Ryan remanded Glass on bail and adjourned the case for mention back in the same court on December 10.
