A 67-YEAR-OLD man charged in relation to a fatal traffic crash near Crows Nest in which a young mother died has had his case mentioned before Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Michael Roy Glass was not required to be in court for the brief mention of the matter but was represented by solicitor Nathan Bouchier of Bouchier Khan Lawyers.

Glass is charged with driving without due care and attention causing death arising from a single vehicle crash on the New England Highway at Emu Creek about 19km north of Crows Nest on May 31.

The Maryborough man has not as yet been required to enter any plea to the charge.

Twenty-year-old Brianna Rapley, also of Maryborough, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while her then five-month-old son, Glass and a 46-year-old woman survived the crash.

It is believed the family were driving to Wagga Wagga on that Friday when the crash occurred about 4pm with the Mitsubishi Pajero rolling a number of times.

Mr Bouchier asked for an adjournment so a full police brief of evidence could be compiled and handed to the defence.

Magistrate Kay Ryan therefore remanded Glass on bail and adjourned the case for hearing mention back in the same court on November 26.
