As business continues, owner Dom Wundke says he has lost hope and is starting to look for another ute to replace his beloved old HiLux.
EARLIER: A POPULAR Nightcliff watering hole has had its fame vehicle stolen and has warned of “counterfeit cocktail deliveries’.
The 2004 Toyota HiLux, which has ‘Dom’s Bar & Lounge’ branding on its sides, disappeared overnight for owner Dom Wundke to discover on Thursday morning.
Mr Wundke has both of the ute’s keys in his possession so he suspects “they broke into the car and hot wired it”.
“It literally has my name written all over it – I was expecting to have heard something by now but it might be long gone,” Mr he said.
In good humour, Mr Wundke jokingly posted on Facebook warning people not to accept cocktails from the ute if he wasn’t driving.
“Whoever has it is probably not delivering cocktails, let’s be honest,” he said. Anyone who has seen the ute or has further information to assist the investigation, is asked to call police on 131 444.
